Hany is currently is a PhD researcher at University of West of England, UK where his main topic is BIM and automation in construction. He also holds an MSc in Construction Management.
He has worked as a project manager for a number of iconic infrastructures, roads and highways projects with 22 years of experience in the construction industry as a civil engineer. Hany is the BIM initiator within DEWA-TPD and he has also conducted several BIM awareness and training sessions for different levels of DEWA staff.
In addition, he was teaching BIM as a part-time lecturer at the British University in Dubai for master students. Hany is an active researcher and a member of the Centre of Architecture and Built Environment Research (CABER), UWE, UK and an editorial board member for the International Journal of BIM & Engineering Science. He has number of publications, his research interests include application of BIM-enabled technologies for construction monitoring and project control optimization.
